Firefighter Recruit Course Diaries
The site has provided many visitors with the information they have needed to help them achieve their dream of joining the UK Fire Service. Once a candidate has passed all the tests and gone through the recruitment procedure, they will end up on a basic firefighter training course. This is when the hard work begins.
The days of shouting and bawling at recruits in militaristic fashion has now gone. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing is open to discussion. However, the facts remain, recruit courses are now very different to what they were.
Below are the diaries of those who have been through the process and have been successful on basic recruit courses in Fire and Rescue Services throughout the UK. The diaries are very different as different brigades offer different styles of training. By downloading and reading the diary of each recruit firefighter, you will be able to see what you can expect should you be successful.
