The World Firefighter Games is open to all serving Firefighters and is held every 2 years in a different country worldwide. The games comprise of over 60 events to compete in, against thousands of other firefighters from across the world and will be next held in 2008 in Liverpool, UK.

The National Fire Service Three Peaks Challenge is the largest event held within the UK Fire service and is held each year to rasie money for Fire Service Benevolent Fund. The challenge is to climb the three highest mountains in the UK in under 24 hours starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland, onto Scafell Pike in England and finishing in Wales on Snowdon.

The Fittest Rescuer Challenge is a new event open to UK firefighters and will be held in Cardiff, Wales between 9th and 12th July 2008. It tests a firefighters strength and enduarnce in job related tasks to find the UK's fittest firefighter and is run alonside the World Extrication Challenge.
