Our Mailing List and Newsletter are now divided into 2 sections, allowing you to subscribe to the mailing list that will best suit your needs and requirements.

Please ensure you are subscribed to the right list as the system is now fully automated.

You can unsubscribe from the list at anytime.

General Mailing List

Our General mailing list aims to send you information that may be relevant to the Fire Service in general. We will also include links to certain sections of the site that have either been added, amended or that we simply feel may be of benefit to you at certain times of the year, e.g. Bonfire Safety reminders and information will sent out at the end of October etc. We also hope to bring you features and letters from prominent members of the service at different levels.

Recruitment Mailing List

This list is aimed at all those who have an interest in joining the fire service. We aim to mail out any details of brigades that are undertaking recruitment campaigns. Please remember that the recruiting brigades page within the recruitment section will be updated as and when we get the information. This information is sometimes very hard to collate as many brigades are unwilling to divulge the information on a wide scale.

Subscribing / Unsubscribing

Subscribing and Unsubscribing can be done below. Simply add your email address and tick which list you want to be added to, you can join both. You will then need to confirm this by clicking a link within an email that we send to you, this is usually sent immediately and is fully automated. If you do not receive an email, then you may have simply made a mistake when inputting your email address. A common mistake we come across other than the wrong email address being used, is people tend to put a www before their email address, which will result in no confirmation being sent. If you do not get a confirmation, you will need to try again.

We require all emails to be validated in this way before being added to the list. We cannot and will not add your email manually.

Unsubscribing is just the same, please don't email us asking to add or remove you from certain lists, the system is fully automated, you will need to do this yourself from this page or using the link in the last newsletter we sent you.

Free Email Accounts

It is also with regret that we no longer allow free email accounts such as Hotmail or Yahoo etc to join the mailing lists. This is due to the large amount of email we get returned to us because of expired accounts or mailboxes that are over quota by using such accounts. It is suggested you use an email address that coincides with your network provider.

Email Guarantee

Please note that many email providers have internal 'Spam' filters to remove unwanted emails. Some actually provide you with a 'Spam Box' where emails that could be classed as "Spam" are filtered to. In some cases these filters may see our own newsletters and emails as such, when they are not. It is up to the subscriber to ensure that their email accounts will allow our emails to come through in the prescribed manner. We cannot therefore be held responsible for email which is filtered out in this way.

Privacy

Your privacy and email address will be kept confidential.

We consider it our duty to safeguard your information and to ensure the information is only used for the purpose for which it was supplied. We do not pass your details or email address on to any third parties whatsoever.
